Wendy Vermeers is a woodworker, designer, costumer, crafter, and painter who works with a multitude of materials from wood, foam, fabric, fiber, paint, vinyl, plastic, pigments, and resin casting.

Wendy Vermeers has used her 2004 Associates in Technical Arts for Integrated Multimedia and her 2023 Associates in Arts & Sciences for Carpentry to create outstanding projects across various mediums for any project thrown at her. Her familiarity with materials and the ability to dive in and explore how conventional and unconventional materials can work in projects is an asset to any creative studio.

A high attention to detail, she approaches finish work like icing a cake. From costumes to props, to set building, Wendy has collected a vast wealth of working knowledge for materials and tools over a lifetime of being a creative maker. And she doesn’t plan on stopping. There’s a saying in Wendy’s world, “If Wendy doesn’t know how to do it, she will find out how to do it.” This is possibly the most valuable skill that Wendy will bring to any studio as she will rarely say no to a challenge.

Additionally, Wendy approaches flubs as knowledge of how to make something appear a certain way. Turning it into a happy accident. Like the inventor of the Post-It note glue, there will be a use for mistakes.
